Lifetree Adventures — Egypt

EgyptWork and play go hand in hand on this adventure. You will be serving in the city of Luxor alongside the staff at a Christian orphanage. Luxor is the modern site of the ancient city of Thebes—built hundreds of years before the time of Moses—and has been recognized as the “world's greatest open air museum.”

“But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.”
(Psalms 10:14)

Trip Overview

Your heart will be touched by he large number of needy children in the area. Many go without adequate food or shelter for the night. Thankfully, these little ones are served by the orphanage we partner with on this adventure. The work here will involve major building repairs, basic maintenance, painting and cleaning. You will work side-by-side with the dedicated orphanage staff that cares for the kids year-round. Not only will you be helping the kids, but you’ll communicate to the orphanage staff just how significant their work really is.

There will be plenty of time to play with the kids, enriching their lives by just having fun together. Their smiles and laughter will let you know just how big a difference you are making by being here. It will be hard for you and your group to leave when your Lifetree Adventure ends, but you’ll depart knowing you’ve made an investment from which these beautiful children will benefit for years to come.
