Experience the elaborate Easter festivities, including huge, human-powered wooden floats proceeding down cobblestone streets intricately decorated with brightly dyed sawdust, flowers, and pine needles—all to be trampled by the procession!

Part Vacation Step into the bustling capital of Guatemala City, which is your gateway to walking in the paths of the ancient Mayans. Explore the mysteries of an empire that faded away over a thousand years ago. Visit the ruins where Mayans lived, played, and sacrificed their own. Then take in the spectacular Holy Week pageantry with costumed processions, reenactments of the crucifixion, and more in beautiful, colonial Antigua.
Part Service You’ll travel Guatemala City’s poorest neighborhood, Colonia Esperanza. Here you’ll find a struggling community and a ray of hope with a Christian feeding center that provides needed meals and love to children desperately in need of both. Your service will be to help build a sturdy new feeding center that will nourish children for years to come. Your impact will be to help make it possible to feed hungry children—so they can grow strong in body, mind, and soul.
